The Daily Scroll: A Mentorship Recap – April 15th, 2021 Show Notes

Kay:

Heyo Questers, it’s Thoughtful Thursday. This is April 15th and we’ve got episode 334 for you today. We have a quote from a movie that Shila and I hold near and dear to our hearts. Well, an adaptation of a movie, the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast, and in today’s quote, we get to hear from the Beast himself.

Shi:

Directly from the Beast. He says, “Think of the one thing that you’ve always wanted. Now find it in your mind’s eye, and feel it in your heart.”

Shi:

Now, Beast is giving this direction to Belle when he gives her the magic mirror so that she can check in on her father. But dang, is this advice good?

Kay:

For life and all the things but before we get too far into this, the Beauty and the Beast is so good. It doesn’t matter if we’re watching the 20-minute musical adaptation at Disney World or the real thing. I cry every time.

Shi:

So, when we were at Disney last year in 2020, we ended up watching a live play of Beauty and the Beast at Hollywood Studios. Then we ended up watching another one. I think it was a sing-along or something during a massive rainstorm in Paris at Epcot. So, we got a Beauty and the Beast fill which is great because we both love Beauty and the Beast. In fact, Belle was the first princess I fell in love with as a little girl. I had the Beauty and the Beast bedspread. I had the curtains.

Kay:

She had such a pretty Beauty and the Beast dress.

Shi:

Oh, I had a dress that my Nana made that was amazing. So, we love this movie. We love the songs. We love all of the things about it and love this quote too because it is so deep. We may not have magic mirrors, but our lives and our ability to help influence and co-create the circumstances of our lives are like a magic mirror and Beast gives some pretty dang good advice on how to use it.

Kay:

Yeah. I mean, this is a manifesting tip. Hands down this is about creating some things that you want in your life. If we can take it through this idea. So, listen, he gives some really specific steps here and they’re actually in line with steps that we find all over on our Mentorship Quests. On our quest for mentorship, we learn from teachers like Neville Goddard, like Wayne Dyer, like Alan Watts, who teach you that it’s not just enough to have something in your mind’s eye. It says find something you want, put it in your mind’s eye, imagine it, and then feel it in your heart. That’s the difference-maker. So, it’s not just enough to think about what you want. You’ve got to feel it when you’re trying to manifest it, get that emotion in motion.

Shi:

All of the great teachers tell us this in one way or another. Earl Nightingale sums it up as, “the strangest secret ever told,” and that is truly that we become what we think about. That’s what the first half of this quote right here is hinting at, think of the one thing that you’ve always wanted. So, it starts with that, but it doesn’t end there and that’s what’s so beautiful about bringing in the dimension of this next sentence here. “Now find it in your mind’s eye.” So, first, you think about it, you have awareness then finding it in your mind’s eye means you’re spending more time developing the picture. Not a vague idea, a picture that you can formulate and articulate and see clearly, but then that’s not even enough. It is that final step that many of us miss in our manifesting and that is that feeling and drawing of the emotions of the ability to actually feel. What would it be like if that thing was achieved, or if I got that, or that person came into my life, my body looked that way? What would it feel like? And then to manifest, we’ve got to stay in that feeling and trust that that is what’s coming towards us.

Kay:

Well, we live on a physical level in a universe of energy. Now, I’m not going to get all, “woo, woo” on you guys here. This is actual physics. Everything in our universe is composed of energy and one of the ways that energy gets built up in your body is through the power of emotion. I mean, think about it. Right now, just think about someone that you love. Someone you love so much you would do anything for them. You love them so much.

Shi:

I’m looking at that person right now.

Kay:

Well, and a few things just happened. My heart was beating fast thinking about…

Shi:

Me!

Kay:

…the person I love so much, which is also you. But then when you looked at me and acknowledged that, like I also got another dopamine rush. My heart started fluttering, energy is building inside my body. So, when we’re creating in a world made out of energy, even on a basic matter level, then if you want to stoke that in your body and create something in the future, like Earl Nightingale says, you become what you think about then putting that energy into motion intentionally through your imagination and into your body can help you manifest anything that you want just like the Beast tells us in today’s quote, where he says, “Think of the one thing that you’ve always wanted. Now find it in your mind’s eye, and feel it in your heart.”

Shi:

Can we call that going #beastmode?

Kay:

Yes.

Shi:

Alright. It is Thoughtful Thursday for your quest today. We want you to think as though you have what you’ve always wanted. Five minutes, set a timer on your phone for five minutes and close your eyes to vividly imagine that you have achieved that dream and remember to ask yourself, how do I feel? What are my feelings? What are the emotions that are running through me and hold on to them and harness them for the entire time? What would it mean for you to embody this feeling for the rest of your day, month, year, life? Alright. Are you ready?

Kay & Shi:

Let’s quest!
