The Daily Scroll: A Mentorship Recap – November 30th, 2020 Show Notes

Kay:

Hey there Questers and welcome back. It is Monday, November 30th, and this is episode 236. We have a #MoneyMonday quest for you today and this quote is by Jim Rohn. He says, “Money is usually attracted, not pursued.”

Shi:

Now it’s the last day of the month and we’re popping into the last month of the year before we start a brand new year of 2021 and this is a really excellent quote to bring forward from a really excellent human being. You’ve probably heard us talk about Jim Rohn before – we adore him and his teaching and probably most importantly, we adore a couple of his prodigal students that came out from under him, both Tony Robbins and Joseph McClendon III, very close students of Jim Rohn. One of the OG motivational speakers and American entrepreneur was a Herbalife spokesman and a figurehead there towards the end of his life. But he talked a lot about some of the principles that we can use to better our lives in a multitude of ways. But money and wealth were one of the ways that he talked, I think significantly, about that helped people reframe their perspective on what money and wealth meant and could do for your life. It’s so well encapsulated in this quote right here.

Kay:

Many of us are conditioned with this idea of the American dream being that we put in that time, right? You put in your time, you get your money, you get enough money to go on some nice vacations and maybe buy yourself a house. So, there’s this kind of ebb and flow when it comes to our society and how we gain money. Many people think of it as, “I have to go and get it, right?” Like I have to go and trade my time in order to get money, or I have to go and build a business in order to get money in. So many people find themselves chasing money instead of maybe just allowing that currency to flow to them in some different and unique ways.

Shi:

Well, I think, you know, by using the word chase and the imagery that you just painted there, you can really think about what are the different energy signatures between these two different styles of gaining wealth? You know, he says it’s usually attracted, not pursued. The energy signature of attracting something versus pursuing something is totally different, right? It’s kind of this push versus pull this chase versus summon. What is more fulfilling? I would rather summon something or attract something or pull something towards me, then push towards something or chase after something or pursue something in a way that can sometimes feel desperate.

Kay:

Now, many people when they hear of the idea of attraction I think can kind of get like….We’re not talking about sitting in the corner at your house and just ooh.

Shi:

Bend the spoon. Bend the spoon. Bend the spoon.

Kay:

You’re not looking in a crystal ball. Like, that’s not what this is about. This isn’t about some mumbo jumbo. This is about following your heart and, and along the way of that heart magnetizing the resources that will help to amplify the dream that you have kind of co-created along with your own inner spirit that is going to bring the most and highest, best good to humanity. So, you want to know who one of the best attractors in the whole wide world was for money and abundance? Mother Teresa. That chick raised billions of dollars and she did it all to feed her purpose. It wasn’t about the big houses and the cars, although she could have had those things if she wanted that out of her fame. Instead, she had a purpose so big, she attracted dollars to that purpose in order to serve the world.

Shi:

What I think goes along with this as well, is that attracting money and attracting wealth and attracting contracts and gigs and bigger salaries and all of those things still require the action that is sometimes associated with pursuing something. You still have to make the pitch. You’ve got to do the slide deck. You’ve got to maybe hustle for some opportunities. All of that is still part of attraction and that’s where many of us get off the rails and imagining sitting in the corner, looking in a crystal ball, trying to bend the spoon. We’re really not saying just sit there and visualize all day, but really using that core, that purpose, to be in a place where you are absolutely certain in what it is that you want to achieve and accomplish, you know what the outcome is and you’re willing to continue to doggedly take the actions that are required and consistently do that, even when it’s not fun, even when it’s sucks, even when you’re tired, even when you’re feeling all those things because that’s what will prove to the energetic forces of life, God, or the universe, or energy, as it is that, that, that is something that’s authentic to you inside your core and then, of course, BOOP – it attracts like a magnet.

Kay:

So, just as a reminder, the quote from Jim Rohn today is that “Money is usually attracted, not pursued.”

Shi:

Which brings us to your #MoneyMonday quest today! Today, your quest is to do one thing to begin down the path of attracting and manifesting more money into your life. So, whatever that means for you, do something that attracts not pursues, more money to you. Are you ready?

Kay & Shi:

Let’s Quest!
